To better serve its North American customers, Hifyber has recently appointed an account manager and is establishing distribution and warehousing in North America. “The North American initiative demonstrates our efforts to support our customers globally with the latest nano technology and customer service.” “Hifyber is more than a fiber, it is a unique solution to provide longer life, capture the finest dusts and provide the highest efficiency,” says Frank Baker, North America account manager, Hifyber
Hifyber is part of the Turkish holding company Abalioglu, which has 2500 employees with $1.3 billion in turnover. Hifyber is focused on producing propertiary nanofibers for various filtration applications including, gas turbine, industrial dust collection, facemasks, engine intake, electrical discharge machining (EDM), cabin air and customer specified composites. Filtration efficiencies, per EN-779, range from F7 to E13. Principal nano fibers are PA6 and but could be other polymers such as PVDF, PAN and PU.
Hifyber nano fibers are produced with the latest needle-free electrospinning technology giving continuous fibers an average fiber size of 125 nm. Hifyber has been doing research on nanofibers for over 12 years and has incorporated its propertiary technology into the latest Elmarco technology to give improved filament and web uniformity, low pressure drop, and most importantly, the highest nano fiber durability in the industry. Durability testing with VDI 3926 clearly demonstrated Hifyber superiority when tested against several competitors. This durability enables customers to pleat with high speed rotary or blade pleaters without causing damage to the nano fibers.
Hifyber capabilities include a lamination line with up to four separate layers for both surface or depth nanofiber media.
The Hifyber reputation for developing custom nano filtration media is widely known. Hifyber excels in their quick response to customers with innovative solutions. Media development is enhanced with their well equipped development lab which includes a TSI 8130, Palas MPF 1000, Palas MMTC 2000, Phenom Pro, Porolux 1000 in addition to instruments for general characterization. For precise control during manufacturing Hifyber uses a FX 3500 combiscan which is integrated into the Elmarco line and continuosly measures air permeability across the web to provide a uniforn nano coating. The FX 3500 is shown below.
